Then it was off to the Elton homestead. But before I go there I have to stop and say THANK YOU SO MUCH to my MOM and DAD! What a blessing they were to me and Benson during the 6 weeks Peter was gone. I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for them and their loving, caring support. I love you two! Benson loves you two too! We miss you so much already. We got used to things around the house... waving bye-bye to Opa every morning in the big red truck, getting breakfast spoon fed by Grammy so as not having to skip a beat during the wonderful play time in his special play room, eating Opa's scrambled eggs on the weekends, jumping with both of yous (a Boston word) in the castle, swimming with Opa, getting the best baths from Grammy, watching Baby Einstein to his hearts content when Grammy was watching him and I caught a few extra Z's, having lunch 3 times a week with Opa, driving the convertible and truck in the driveway, getting Jamba Juices at the mall, playing in Grammy's dryer, pulling out Grammy's ribbons in her craft room, chillin' in Bubba's bean bag, helping Grammy vaccum, and pretty much everything. We loved being there. Thank you so much! Thank you for having us and thank you for loving us the way you do!
Then to the Eltons. First things first, we had to make some pine wood derby cars for my dad's side of the family upcoming reunion that we would not be able to attend. Instead we sent our awesome cars. I hear they represented quite well:)
My car said Benson and Peter insisted on doing his car on the lathe. I don't even know what it was, just a cool shape. He just wanted some practice on the lathe:)
The 3 of us back together again. This is the waterfront in downtown Olympia. Such a beautiful port. Peter and I actually took a lot of our wedding pictures here. Almost 5 years later here we are with our little man.
We're so glad Daddy's back!!!

Yay!!! I get to comment first. Where in the world have the Elton's been? Sheesh! Brooke you look b-e-a-utiful; Peter you look soldierish; Benson you look like a tank.
How sweet! I know what you mean about the whole soldier look. Love Shaun, but it takes a little bit to get used to with his shaved head after he trims it. Miss the days when we were dating and he had longer gorgous hair.
I can take care of any hair problems you guys might be having. It sounds like you guys did a lot of fun things in Olympia.
I've been looking for a new post! Glad to hear things are well and looking forward to hearing about Germany and seeing more adorable pictures of Benson!
brooke, you're so freakin' cute!!! i'm so glad you posted again. :)
Wow you are back my blogging daughter. Love it, Love it, Love it. It makes me fell like we are not as far away from each other as we really are. We are very lonesome around here, and quite. Love you Mom "C"
FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! don't ever go that long without blogging again. my life depends on it!! can't wait to see Germany pictures!
Wow, I can't believe that 7 people have already blogged on your post! Well, grandpa considers the time you guys spent here a wonderful blessing in our lives. We love all of you so much and had such a great time while you were here. We had Benson withdrawals every morning when I went to leave for work. I miss all of it. Praying with Benson and Brooke, watching Peter play with him for the first time in 6 weeks, watching him climb up the blow-up castle and slide back down, catching the balls as he threw them out and throwing them back at him, haveing him chase the plastic balls that I blew out of my mouth in the family room, testing out new foods with him, but more than anything, just Peter, Brooke, and Benson's smiles
Love, Dad
